Deadly Scooter Accident In MichiganOn May 16, 2008, at approximately 5:39 PM Meridian Township Police and Fire responded to a single vehicle accident in the 1200 block of Haslett Rd. A motorized scooter driven by a 61 year old male from Haslett was heading east on Haslett Rd. when he lost control of the scooter and ran off the road. The driver was injured and transported to a local hospital. The driver was not wearing a helmet.
On Sunday, May 18, the driver of the moped died as a result of the accident. He was identified as Robert Johnson, a 61 year old male from Haslett, Michigan.
