Car Crashes Into Building

On Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at 9:55 AM, Meridian Township Police officers responded to a car/building personal injury accident at 2800 Grand River Ave. Upon arrival officers located a 2001 Subaru that had crashed into the store front of the laundromat.

The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, had been driving through the parking area and accidentally stepped on the gas pedal when pulling into a parking space. This caused the vehicle to race forward and strike the building front. The driver was transported to a local hospital. No other persons where injured as a result of the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
