Georgetown Township, MI - Two Drivers Hurt after Auto Accident on Cottonwood Dr near Bauer Rd

Georgetown Township, MI (November 23, 2021) - Two drivers sustained injuries after an auto accident that happened on the evening of Monday, November 22 in Ottawa County. The incident was reported to officials in the area at around 6:15 p.m. 

Three vehicles were involved in the collision that happened on Cottonwood Driver ner Bauer Road in Georgetown Township. A 21-year-old male was headed south on Cottonwood Drive in his 2017 Infiniti when he reportedly lost control and drove over the centerline. 

Police say he collided with two vehicles heading north, a 2012 Honda and a 2009 Toyota. The driver of the Toyota, identified as a woman from Jenison, aged 35, suffered injuries and was transported to an area medical center by ambulance. 

The 21-year-old was seriously injured and was also transported by ambulance from the scene to a local hospital for treatment. Their names have not been reported at this time. 

A passenger present in the Infiniti, identified as a 21-year-old man from Novi, was also injured and sought private treatment, reports reveal. Authorities continue to investigate the details of the incident.
