Charlotte, MI (December 13, 2021) – The Charlotte Fire Department and police responded to the scene of a fatal accident on December 11. It happened at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Interstate 69 South, according to information from officials.
Responders were called to the scene shortly after the wreck happened in order to assist those involved. When they arrived, they found a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree in the vicinity of Cochran Road.
Two people were present in the vehicle at the time, firefighters said. A man was pronounced deceased on-site and a woman was found seriously injured.
She was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her current health condition has not been reported.
Officers with the Eaton County sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the details of the wreck. Nothing further has been reported at this time.
