Detroit, MI - Victim Hospitalized After Motorcycle Collision on Lodge Fwy Near I-94

Detroit, MI (July 23, 2023) - After an accident with another vehicle on the Lodge Freeway in Detroit, a motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with significant injuries.

On July 22, Saturday evening, around 8:35 p.m., the collision occurred in Detroit's northbound lanes of the Lodge Freeway near I-94.

A driver was parked on the right shoulder and pulled out into traffic, according to the police. The motorcycle rider then hit the back of the vehicle because they were unable to avoid colliding with the driver, per a police statement.

Police said that the rider was ejected into the air. He sustained serious injuries and was transferred to a nearby hospital. MI State Police is requesting anyone with knowledge to get in touch with them.
