Roseville, MI - DUI Crash Shuts Down 13 Mile Rd & Little Mack Ave

Roseville, MI (April 14, 2025) – A serious crash occurred late Saturday night at the intersection of 13 Mile Road and Little Mack Avenue in Roseville, resulting in an extended road closure. The collision was reported on April 13, around 11:02 p.m., near the Meijer and freeway access area.

Witnesses at the scene stated that the intersection was nearly entirely blocked off as police, fire, and EMS responded. According to early accounts, one of the drivers allegedly ran a red light while under the influence, causing the crash. At least one person sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for additional treatment. Authorities worked through the night to manage the scene and begin their investigation. The intersection remained closed for several hours while crews cleared debris and collected evidence. As of now, officials have not released the identities of those involved or confirmed if arrests have been made, but the incident is being investigated as a potential DUI-related collision.

We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.

Car Accidents in Michigan

Roseville, MI - DUI Crash Shuts Down 13 Mile Rd & Little Mack AveIn Michigan, thousands of crashes each year are linked to drivers operating under the influence. With over 293,000 total accidents statewide in 2023, a significant percentage involved impaired drivers. These crashes often result in severe injuries and are fully preventable.

DUI accidents can leave lasting impacts. Here’s what victims should know when it comes to accountability and recovery:

  • Holding the Driver Accountable: In DUI-related crashes, criminal charges may be filed—but that doesn’t always provide financial relief for victims. Civil personal injury claims are separate and help victims recover damages for medical bills, lost income, pain, and suffering.
  • Medical Care and Follow-Up Treatment: Victims of DUI crashes often suffer from serious injuries such as fractures, internal bleeding, or head trauma. Recovery may involve hospital stays, rehabilitation, or even surgery, all of which create substantial costs and emotional stress.
  • Impact on Daily Life: From missed work to reduced mobility, the aftermath of a crash affects victims long after the scene is cleared. Everyday tasks can become difficult or impossible, and relationships may also be strained due to physical and emotional pain.
  • Insurance Challenges: Insurance companies may try to minimize payouts—even in cases where the at-fault driver was clearly intoxicated. That’s why it’s essential to have legal representation to negotiate or litigate for the full compensation you deserve.
  • Long-Term Financial Burden: In addition to medical bills, many victims face long-term costs such as therapy, adaptive equipment, and reduced earning potential. A legal claim helps ensure these financial needs are addressed fairly.
