Mecosta Co., MI (April 28, 2025) – Early Sunday morning, April 27, deputies responded to a crash involving two vehicles in Mecosta County that left one woman hospitalized.
The incident unfolded around 9:30 a.m. near 8 Mile Road and Old State Road. According to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, a 47-year-old woman from Rockford was a passenger in a vehicle that was rear-ended by another vehicle while waiting to turn into a nearby gas station. The second vehicle was driven by a 25-year-old man from Fruitport.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as minor. A 47-year-old Rockford man in the same vehicle and the 25-year-old driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization. Deputies continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine all factors involved.
