Superior Twp., MI - Fatal Car Crash on M-14 at Vorhies Rd

Superior Twp., MI (May 14, 2025) – A deadly two-vehicle collision occurred late Monday night on the eastbound side of Michigan 14 Highway at Vorhies Road in Superior Township, Washtenaw County. Troopers from the Brighton Post of the Michigan State Police responded to the crash around 11:05 p.m. on May 12.

According to preliminary findings, a 2009 Acura MDX collided with an oncoming semi-truck and trailer. The Acura was driven by a 26-year-old individual from Whitmore Lake. Sadly, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The semi-truck was operated by a 25-year-old man from Ontario, who reported minor injuries. Emergency crews treated him at the scene. Authorities closed the highway for an extended period during the investigation and cleanup. Troopers are continuing to investigate what led to the wrong-way entry onto Michigan 14 Highway.
