Tecumseh Twp., MI (June 18, 2025) – A deadly crash occurred on the morning of Wednesday, June 18, in Tecumseh Township, claiming the life of a 19-year-old motorcyclist. The collision took place at approximately 7:04 a.m. on Newburg Highway, near Burwyn Hills Drive, and involved a motorcycle and a commercial truck.
According to the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcyclist was riding a silver Honda CBR 1000 northbound at a high rate of speed. He reportedly lost control while entering a curve, veered into the southbound lane, and collided head-on with a Chevrolet C5500 truck. The driver of the truck, a 41-year-old man from Ann Arbor, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the incident.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have not yet confirmed whether alcohol or drugs were contributing factors. The Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
