Orange Township, MI (July 2, 2025) – Tragedy struck early on the morning of July 1 when a motorcyclist lost their life in a collision at the intersection of Michigan 66 and Grand River Avenue in Orange Township. According to the Michigan State Police, the crash occurred around 6:35 a.m. when a 16-year-old driver pulled out of a service station and directly into the path of a northbound motorcycle.
Police say the motorcycle rider, who was unable to stop in time, collided with the rear of the teen’s car. The 61-year-old motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The teenage driver sustained only minor injuries and received care from local emergency services. Investigators continue to examine what led up to the crash.
