Kalamazoo, MI (November 21, 2021) – A serious motor vehicle accident was reported on an interstate in Kalamazoo on the afternoon of November 18 that required an emergency response. The collision occurred at around 3:40 p.m. for reasons still under police investigation.
According to reports, the crash happened on Interstate 94 between Sprinkle Road/Exit 80 and Kilgore Road/Exit 78. Various emergency responders were observed at the scene including paramedics, police, and firefighters.
Traffic was stopped back to 35th Street/Exit 85 for some time during the afternoon while crews worked to clear the area. Currently, it remains unclear how many people were hurt in the accident.
Authorities in Kalamazoo continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision. No further information has been reported at this time.
