Michigan Vehicle Accidents
Each year, nearly 6 million car crashes are reported in the United States. Approximately 5% of those accidents occur in the state of Michigan, or about 300,000. The Wolverine State has been deemed the most dangerous place to drive in the US in the winter months, beating out Alaska for the number of deaths that happen due to traffic collisions. Sustaining serious injuries in an auto accident is often overwhelming and difficult, and usually requires time-consuming, exhaustive recovery periods that can last for weeks, months, or even longer depending on the nature and severity of the wreck itself.
In the event that you or a loved one of yours has recently been hurt in a vehicle accident in Michigan, it is likely that the wreck was caused by negligence. Statistics concerning car crashes in the United States say that almost all reported traffic accidents are caused by human error, a form of driver negligence. Other forms of driver negligence include fatigue, distraction, and intoxication. Allow a car accident lawyer in Michigan to help you through the aftermath of your collision if you believe that the wreck was not your fault, but the fault of a negligent driver.
