Ionia, MI (December 08, 2021) - At about 9:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 8th, an interstate car accident in Ionia caused injuries and shut down a portion of the roadway.
Officials confirmed that the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 96 near the exit leading to State Road when an unknown number of vehicles collided causing injuries to those involved.
Emergency medics were seen rendering aid at the scene while police investigated the cause of the accident.
