Groveland Twp, MI (December 11, 2021) – Authorities in Groveland are currently investigating the circumstances of a fatal accident that took one bicyclist’s life. The wreck happened in northern Oakland County at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, December 11.
Reports show that the incident occurred when a woman, aged 53, was traveling east in her Jeep Wrangler on Grange Hall Road. She turned onto Ortonville Road to head north, and while doing so, she struck a 64-year-old man on a bicycle. He was headed west at the time.
The man fell off his bike and struck his head on the pavement, according to information from police. He was rushed to an area medical center and later pronounced deceased by medical staff.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. No further information has been reported concerning the circumstances of the wreck at this time.
