Detroit, MI (December 26, 2021) – A car accident took place on an interstate in Detroit on Saturday, December 25th that blocked multiple lanes and resulted in injuries for at least one person involved.
Local law enforcement and first responders were called to the scene at about 12:20 a.m. The wreck occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 near East Outer Drive/Exit 222. Upon their arrival, paramedics rendered emergency medical aid and transportation to those who were hurt in the crash.
Three lanes of the interstate were closed while officers investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident. Traffic was backed up in the area for some time on the morning of December 25 while responders worked to secure the scene.
The names of the victims have not been released as police continue to investigate the details of the accident.
