Cato Twp, MI (January 10, 2022) – A Nunica woman was killed and her son injured following a head-on collision in Cato Township on Sunday morning, January 9. The deadly accident was reported on M-46 at around 8:30 a.m.
The 39-year-old woman was reportedly headed eastbound on the highway when she crossed the centerline. She crashed head-on with a westbound box truck. The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman’s 8-year-old son was traveling in the vehicle and was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly accident is being handled by local authorities.
