Allendale, MI (February 16, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a two-car crash near Allendale on Wednesday, February 16. Information from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s department states that the wreck happened just before 3:00 p.m.
Reports show that a southbound vehicle was attempting to turn right on Lake Michigan Drive when they drove into the path of a westbound vehicle on M-45. The drivers’ side door of the westbound vehicle was struck in the collision.
The two women present in the first vehicle, identified as a 70-year-old and 88-year-old, both Allendale residents, sustained injuries. They were transported from the scene to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
The other driver, a 29-year-old Allendale resident, sustained minor injuries and was treated on-site. The police in Allendale continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
