Scio, MI (March 6, 2022) – Two truck drivers were killed in a fatal semi-truck accident in Scio on March 6. The wreck was reported to officials in the area at around 2:50 a.m.
Michigan State Police said that the two trucks crashed into one another on I-94 near Baker Road. Both trucks then caught fire, according to reports.
One semi-truck was entering the eastbound lanes of I-94 from Baker Road when they overturned. The truck was tipped over across I-94. A box truck headed east on I-94 then struck the overturned truck, police said.
Both drivers lost their lives in the accident. The identities of the victims have not been reported at this time.
Police continue to investigate.
