Waterford, MI (March 9, 2022) - Several people were hurt in a multi-vehicle accident that shut down a part of Huron Street for close to four hours on Tuesday, March 8. The wreck was reported to officials in the area at approximately 4:00 p.m.

Police in Waterford reported that a 2008 Dodge Charger driven by a man from Pontiac collided head-on with a 2016 GMC Terrain driven by a woman from Waterford. A Ford Taurus, driven by a woman from Detroit, then collided with the Terrain and the Charger.

Police stated that the driver and two passengers present in the Dodge were transported to a local hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the Terrain was also hospitalized with a serious injury along with a passenger in the Taurus. The Taurus’s driver was also injured.

At this time, police in Waterford continue to investigate the details of the collision. Huron Street was shut down between Voorheis Road and Elizabeth Lake Road for several hours while crews worked on-site.

We hope for the full recovery of the injured victims.

Michigan Car Accidents

Car accidents are a leading cause of serious injuries and death throughout the United States. Although driving a car has become an everyday activity for most Americans, it is also one of the most dangerous activities any of us are involved in on any given day. Tens of thousands of people are hurt in Michigan traffic accidents every year.

Statistics concerning car wrecks in the Wolverine State reveal that more than 70,000 people are hurt in auto accidents in the state annually. Sustaining injuries in a car wreck can be a horrible experience. You may be wondering how you’re going to recover, in more ways than just the physical. Depending on the severity of your injuries, you may be faced with steep medical bills and lost wages.

The cost of a crash can weigh on a person in more ways than just financial. Victims may feel depressed, anxious, and overall emotionally distraught after being hurt in an accident. If the accident you were injured in was caused by driver negligence, you may qualify for compensation that can help cover your medical costs, as well as non-economic damages like pain and suffering and emotional turmoil. The compensation you receive will be based on the damages you’ve suffered due to your injuries.

A personal injury attorney in Michigan will be able to help you determine whether you qualify for compensation after being hurt in an accident. No one deserves to have to pay for being hurt by another person’s careless actions, which is why personal injury attorneys work to help victims recover.
