Ithaca, MI (March 21, 2022) – Police in Ithaca are investigating a two-car accident that sent four people to the hospital. According to reports, the wreck happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. on March 20 in Bethany Township.
Sources say the accident happened at the corner of State Road and Jackson Road. Police say a 36-year-old man from S Louis ran a stop sign and struck another car.
The man then fled the scene leaving three children in the vehicle. All three were hospitalized with their injuries ranging from serious to critical. The man was apprehended and found by k-9 units about a mile from the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
