Ypsilanti, MI (March 23, 2022) – One person is dead following an early morning accident on Wednesday, March 23 in Ypsilanti. Troopers with Michigan State Police’s Brighton Post were at the crash scene shortly after the incident occurred in order to help involved parties.
Reports indicate that the wreck happened on Interstate 94 at Grove Street. A semi-truck was cut off by another vehicle and was forced to swerve to avoid a collision. When the semi swerved, it struck a parked vehicle on the shoulder of the freeway.
The driver of the parked vehicle lost their life at the scene, according to information from officials. Police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
No one involved has been identified at this time.
