Overisel Township, MI (July 20, 2023) - According to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office, two cars collided in Overisel Township on Sunday afternoon, sending a passenger and one of the drivers to the hospital.
Per deputies, a Ford Explorer driver struck an approaching Ford Edge after failing to stop at the intersection of 47th Street and 140th Avenue. Per the latest details provided by the sheriff's office, three other occupants of the Ford Edge were treated for minor injuries while one passenger was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Authorities also added that the Ford Explorer's driver suffered significant injuries as well and was rushed to the hospital.
Deputies are handling the ongoing investigation and say the circumstances surrounding the wreck remain unclear. No charges or citations have yet been filed in connection with the incident.
