Detroit, MI - Multi-Vehicle Wreck w/Injuries on M-39 at Grand River

Detroit, MI (August 23, 2023) - On the afternoon of Wednesday, August 23, an auto accident occurred in the greater Detroit area, injuring at least one victim.

Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of the collision, which took place on southbound Michigan Highway 39 near the exit to Grand River at around 4:00 p.m.

The total number of victim injuries, as well as updates on their current conditions, have not been made public. An investigation into the cause of the wreck continues in the interim, with area authorities requesting additional information from witnesses in the area at the time of the wreck.
