Crashes Involving Multiple Drivers in Detroit
According to data provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, an automobile collision takes place in some parts of the United States around once every ten seconds. It should come as no surprise, given the awful statistics we’ve seen from both the national and Michigan levels, that vehicle accidents account for the vast majority of personal injury claims that are investigated by our courts today.
After being in a vehicle accident, it is important to discuss the situation with a legal professional even if you are feeling OK and the circumstances seem uncomplicated. It is common knowledge that individuals making claims with the assistance of lawyers are awarded more compensation. A significant number of victims are understandably concerned about the financial burden of hiring an attorney. The majority of attorneys who focus their practice on personal injury accept cases on a contingency fee basis.
There are several scenarios in which having legal counsel might be beneficial. Your lawyer will handle all communication with insurance and other parties. Your lawyer will do their due diligence in investigating the situation, determining who needs to be notified, and arguing on your behalf for monetary damages. In order to proceed, it may be necessary to interview possible witnesses and collect more information.
