In the event that you suffer injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident in Michigan, it is recommended that you consult with a personal injury attorney.
-Your attorney will file a formal demand to the insurance company after calculating the total amount of your losses (including damages, medical bills, and lost income). The next step is for your lawyer to negotiate a payout with your insurer. Adjusters may make a counteroffer if they don’t agree with the proposed settlement amount.
-Your personal injury attorney may then suggest launching a lawsuit in response to your injuries. The insurance company may offer a greater settlement to keep the matter out of court. Your attorney and the insurer may probably exchange letters and phone calls many times before arriving at a fair compromise. A neutral third-party mediator may be required to help the opposing parties reach an agreement.
-During mediation, each party is urged to speak their mind freely and openly. During mediation, the insurance company will typically provide its best offer.
