Detroit, MI (September 26, 2023) – Two or three northbound drivers collided on I-75 in Detroit on September 26th, causing injuries to at least one person.
Right around the Outer Drive exit, at about 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon, an accident occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75. When deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrived, they determined that three vehicles had collided. However, authorities have yet to piece together what led up to the crash.
Paramedics were sent to the site to check on the wounded, but there has been no public update on the victims’ status or the extent of their injuries.
The joint investigation between the Detroit Police Department and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is still active, but no new details have been made public.
Our thoughts are with the wounded and their families at this time.
Multi-Driver Accidents in Detroit
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that every ten to fifteen seconds, an automotive accident occurs somewhere in the United States. The bulk of personal injury lawsuits now being examined in our courts are linked to automobile accidents, which is not surprising given the dismal statistics for both Michigan and the United States.
Even if you were in a car accident, and it seems like nothing major happened and you don’t think you’re gravely harmed, you should still go to a lawyer. The availability of legal representation has been shown to boost awards for plaintiffs in civil cases. Many victims, understandably, are concerned about how much it would cost to hire an attorney. However, most attorneys who specialize in personal injuries work on a contingency fee basis.
You and your family may benefit from hiring a lawyer in the vast majority of personal injury cases. Your attorney will serve as your primary representation in all dealings with the insurance company and any other involved parties. You can trust your lawyer to look into the situation carefully, track down the responsible people, and provide you with a solid case for financial recompense. It would then be possible to ask potential witnesses for further details.
