Around 5:30 p.m., a collision occurred on westbound Interstate 96 in Milford. The accident scene was cordoned off once deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrived. However, authorities concealed details about the crash’s victims and their conditions.
Although emergency medical professionals were sent to the scene to evaluate the victims and take those critically injured to the hospital, the extent of their injuries and their current states have not yet been made public.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Police Department are now conducting a joint investigation. Deputies and local law enforcement are now interviewing potential witnesses.
The injured and their loved ones are in our thoughts at this time. We hope for their fast and full recovery.
Injuries from Car Crashes in Detroit
Every 10 seconds, a car crash occurs somewhere in the United States, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Since both Michigan and the rest of the nation have shockingly high rates of car accidents, it is not surprising that the vast majority of personal injury claims now being examined by our courts involve such collisions.
Even if you were involved in a car crash, you still need to see a lawyer. This is true even when things seem simple and you don’t experience any pain. It is well known that claimants who retain legal representation often get larger settlements. The victims are concerned that their out-of-pocket expenses may skyrocket if they retain legal representation. On a contingency fee basis, personal injury attorneys often take on cases.
Having legal representation on your side is likely to be helpful to you and yours in the majority of situations. Your attorney will handle all communication with the insurance company and any other parties engaged on your behalf. You may have faith that your attorney will investigate the situation completely, identify the party or parties responsible for your losses, and provide evidence that will persuade the court that you are entitled to compensation. The second stage involves gathering information and maybe conducting interviews with potential witnesses.
