Ingham County, MI (October 12, 2023) - On Wednesday afternoon, a 7-year-old child was riding his bike when a school bus collided with his bicycle, according to the police.
The accident occurred on October 11 at around 4:00 p.m. near the junction of Harding Avenue and Schippell Street, and police were called to the scene.
According to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, the child was on the sidewalk of Harding Avenue while riding his bike. When the incident occurred, a Holt school bus was making a southbound right onto Schippell Street from Harding Avenue.
The child was run over by the back tires and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. An investigation is still ongoing, and no further details have been released.
