Blumfield Twp., MI – Fatal Crash on Holland Ave near Mueller Rd

Blumfield Twp., MI (November 16, 2023) – On Wednesday, the Michigan State Police were requested at the scene of a fatal accident that took place during the evening hours. Calls were received by emergency dispatchers at around 6:10 p.m. on November 14. The crash occurred at the intersection of Holland Avenue and Moeller Road.

Preliminary investigations from MSP indicate that an 88-year-old man from Vassar, Michigan, was heading eastbound on Holland Avenue while driving a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a John Deere tractor, which was operated by a 38-year-old man from Saginaw. An 80-year-old woman involved in the accident was severely hurt. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she later passed away from her injuries. The accident is being investigated by the state police at this time.
