Detroit, MI - Man Hospitalized After Pedestrian Crash on Southfield Fwy

Detroit, MI (November 24, 2023) - A man was injured after being struck by a car while attempting to exit his vehicle after an earlier collision on Thursday afternoon, November 24, according to the police. A large box truck and a Dodge Ram pickup truck were involved in a collision that occurred around 12:30 p.m. on the southbound Southfield Freeway at Tireman Avenue in Detroit, according to the police. Shortly thereafter, another driver struck the man near the original crash site. A local hospital received the 49-year-old motorist from Detroit, and paramedics said that his condition was serious yet stable.
