Ann Arbor, MI (November 30, 2023) - Four people were injured in a crash between a bus and an Ann Arbor police patrol vehicle over the weekend. An on-duty Ann Arbor police officer, two bus passengers, and the bus driver were all taken to the hospital for injuries not believed to be life-threatening after a crash between the bus and the patrol vehicle around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26.

According to Chris Page, spokesperson for the Ann Arbor Police Department, an on-duty Ann Arbor police officer was responding to an emergency call when he crashed into a Michigan Flyer bus at the intersection of East Huron Street and South Fourth Avenue. More than 40 people were on the bus at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation, police added, and Indian Trails, the parent company of Michigan Flyer, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
