Washtenaw Co., MI (December 16, 2023) – At least one person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a car crash that occurred in Washtenaw County on Friday evening, December 15. The crash occurred at around 5:15 p.m.

According to reports from the Michigan Department of Transportation, a collision between an unknown number of vehicles occurred on US Highway 23, blocking multiple southbound lanes of the roadway near Interstate 94. Authorities responded to the scene and closed off the freeway near Exit 35 while working to remove the involved vehicles. Medical personnel responded to care for those harmed. At least one of the people involved in the crash sustained injuries and required further medical care. EMS transported the injured parties to area hospitals. At this time, authorities are investigating the incident.
