Kent Co., MI – Accident with Injuries on US-131 near 28th St

Kent Co., MI (December 17, 2023) – At least one person was transported to an area hospital with injuries following an automobile accident that occurred in Kent County. At approximately 7:30 p.m. on December 15, the West Michigan Transportation Operations Center was notified that an automobile accident occurred on US Highway 131.

According to official reports, a collision took place on the southbound side of the roadway near 28^th Street. The incident blocked several lanes in the area near Exit 81 as emergency crews remained on site. Medical personnel responded to the crash site to treat the injured parties. The injured parties were transported to local hospitals for further treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
