Lansing, MI (December 19, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Lansing area on Monday morning claimed one man’s life. On December 18, the Lansing Police Department and area firefighters were called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 96.

Police reports indicate that four vehicles involved in a crash blocked the eastbound lanes of Interstate 96 in the area near Eaton Rapids Road. The crash caused severe delays in the area. A woman was injured in the accident and transported to a local hospital for medical care. A 60-year-old man suffered severe injuries in the crash. He was transported to an area hospital, where he passed away from his injuries. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
