Port Austin Twp., MI (December 21, 2023) – A fuel truck accident reported in the Port Austin Township area claimed the life of one woman. The accident occurred on Friday, December 15.

According to local law enforcement, a 58-year-old woman was traveling a farm fuel truck on Michigan 25. For unknown reasons, her vehicle became involved in a collision near Tomlinson Road during the evening hours. The impact of the crash sent the truck into a ditch, ejecting the driver. The Huron County Sheriff’s Office and firefighters responded to the scene to assist. The woman suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was immediately declared deceased. The crash is currently being investigated.
