Cheboygan City, MI (December 27, 2023) – Multiple emergency crews and law enforcement officers responded to the scene of an automobile accident that took place on Saturday evening and ended in injuries. At approximately 6:45 p.m. on December 23, the Cheboygan City Fire Department was notified that they were needed at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Cheboygan Road.

According to official reports, a head-on collision took place on the roadway near South Huron Street. The incident prompted authorities to close Cheboygan Road between South Huron Street and Court Street while assisting on-site. Three children were injured as a result of the accident. The victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care. The female driver of one of the vehicles was arrested for OWI. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
