Berrien Twp., MI – Car Crash on M-139 near Snyder Rd

Berrien Twp., MI (January 3, 2024) – On December 31, emergency officials were called to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Berrien County. The Michigan Department of Transportation informed officials at approximately 7:05 p.m. that they were needed at the scene of a car crash in Berrien Township.

According to authorities, an automobile accident occurred on Michigan 139, old US Highway 31. The incident blocked the north and southbound sides of the roadway, causing severe delays in the area near Snyder Road. Emergency crews remained on site for an extended period as they worked to clear the roadway. An unknown number of people were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for emergency care. The circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.
