Lansing, MI (January 3, 2024) - The police, firefighters, and emergency medical services were notified that they were needed at the scene of a car crash that occurred on Tuesday and ended with injuries. The calls for help were received at around 6:30 p.m. on January 2.

According to preliminary investigations provided by the Michigan State Police, an automobile accident occurred in Eaton County on the westbound side of Interstate 96. The incident blocked several lanes of the roadway after Michigan 99, Martin Luther King Boulevard. Emergency crews responded to the scene and shut down the westbound side of the interstate near exit 101 as they worked to remove the vehicles from the right lane of travel. Medical personnel responded to the scene of the crash to treat the injured victims and transport those who required further medical attention to local hospitals. The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
