Kawkawlin, MI (January 6, 2024) – The Michigan State Police and area firefighters were dispatched to provide assistance on-site at a motor vehicle accident in Bay County that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. Calls for help were received at around 2:35 p.m. on January 5.

According to local news sources, a collision blocked both directions on Michigan 13. Emergency officials responded to the scene and shut down the roadway near Linwood Road as they worked to remove the involved vehicles. Medical personnel responded to the crash site to render aid to those in need. An unknown number of people required further medical care and were transported to area hospitals by ambulance. The crash is currently being investigated.
