Detroit, MI (January 9, 2024) – The Michigan Department of Transportation informed area officials of a motor vehicle accident that took place during the early morning hours on Monday and required assistance. Calls for help were received at around 12:45 a.m. on January 8.
According to the Michigan State Police, a collision occurred on the southbound side of Michigan 39. The crash blocked the center lane, the right lane, and the right shoulder of the roadway just after 7 Mile Road. Emergency officials across Wayne County responded to the scene to assist. Medical personnel rendered aid to those harmed as a result of the crash. At least one of the people involved in the accident was transported to an area hospital, where they underwent further treatment. The circumstances surrounding the crash are actively under investigation.
