Grand Traverse, MI – Injury Crash on S Garfield Rd at E Sleights Rd

Grand Traverse, MI (January 13, 2024) – At least one victim was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a major crash that took place in Grand Traverse. Law enforcement was notified of the crash at approximately 5:00 p.m. on January 12.

According to law enforcement, a motor vehicle accident took place on South Garfield Road in the area near East sleights Road. The incident blocked multiple lanes of the road, prompting the closure of the area for approximately 1 ½ hours. Serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Emergency medical services were called to the scene to care for those harmed. Injured victims were transported to local hospitals for emergency treatment following the collision. At this time, the police are investigating.
