Oakland, MI – Injuries Follow Auto Accident on I-696 near Lahser Rd

Oakland, MI (January 15, 2024) – On January 14, the Michigan State Police were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of an automobile accident in which at least one person sustained injuries. The crash occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m.

According to official reports, an automobile accident blocked the eastbound side of Interstate 696. The accident caused some lanes to be blocked in the area near Lahser Road, causing some disruptions throughout the area. The police closed off the entrance from Lahser Road as they worked to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Emergency medical services were summoned to care for those harmed. Injured victims were transported by ambulance to local hospitals, where they underwent emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
