Grand Rapids, MI (January 22, 2024) – The police and firefighters confirmed that a pedestrian lost his life as a result of a crash that took place in Grand Rapids on Thursday evening, January 18. The accident was reported by law enforcement at around 11:55 p.m.

According to official reports, a man from Caledonia, Michigan, was walking on Michigan 21 during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, a black Toyota sedan traveling eastbound on the roadway struck the man just east of Interstate 96. The pedestrian, identified as a 26-year-old, suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
