Detroit, MI (March 2, 2024) – A pedestrian lost their life as a result of a fatal accident reported in the Detroit area. The accident was reported to law enforcement at around 3:15 p.m. on March 1.

According to official reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the westbound side of 8 Mile Road, Michigan 102. Authorities arrived at the scene off the roadway in the area near Dequindre Road as they provided assistance. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased. The Hazel Park Police Department is currently investigating the accident.
