Warren, MI (March 3, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident occurred in Macomb County that claimed one person’s life. The accident was reported at approximately 1:45 a.m. on March 2. The incident prompted the response of the Warren Police Department and firefighters.

According to official reports, a silver Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling on Groesbeck Highway during the early morning hours. For unknown reasons, it was struck by a Chevrolet Impala. The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet Tahoe to overturn multiple times near Stephens Road. All four people in the Tahoe were ejected from the vehicle. One person involved in the accident sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by authorities. Three additional victims were transported to area hospitals for the treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Impala was taken into police custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. The incident is under investigation.
