Southgate, MI – Fatal Car Crash on Allen Rd near Orchard St

Southgate, MI (March 19, 2024) – Emergency crews were dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that claimed one person’s life. The incident occurred at around 9:45 p.m. on March 16.

Reports from the Southgate Police Department show that a head-on collision occurred on Allen Road at the intersection of Orchard Street. The vehicle that was hit was occupied by five people. A three-year-old, a pregnant woman, and three additional victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care. The woman ended up having a miscarriage as a result of the injuries she suffered. A fourth passenger, identified as a 44-year-old woman from Port Huron, was fatally injured. She was pronounced deceased following the accident. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
