Muskegon, MI (April 11, 2024) – The Michigan State Police confirmed that a female lost her life as a result of a truck crash that occurred on Wednesday in Muskegon County. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident at around 2:15 p.m. on April 10.

Preliminary reports show that a 24-year-old woman was driving east on Apple Avenue, Michigan 46. As she turned into the E and A Grocery Store, located near Wolf Lake Road, her vehicle was struck by a semi-truck, which was hauling gravel. The impact of the crash caused the truck to burst into flames. The woman was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. Authorities confirmed that she passed away after arriving. The truck driver was also injured and transported to a local hospital for medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
