Lenawee Co., MI (April 28, 2024) – One person was transported to an area hospital in critical condition following a motor vehicle accident that occurred during the morning hours on Thursday, April 25. Authorities were notified of the accident at around 11:25 a.m.

According to law enforcement reports, a Jeep Wrangler was traveling north on Michigan 52 and collided with a Dodge Avenger near US Highway 12. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene to provide assistance. Emergency responders remained at the scene to ensure the road was fully cleared. Medical teams responded and worked quickly to treat the injured victim. Two people involved in the crash sustained injuries. One of the victims, identified as an 85-year-old woman from Olmstead, was transported by Survival Flight to an area medical Center, where she was admitted in critical condition. The second victim, an 85-year-old woman from Manchester, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The accident is being investigated.
