Car Accidents in Michigan

Flint, MI – Car Crash Reported on S Dort Hwy near Windemere AveA motor vehicle accident can dramatically change the course of your life. Sadly, many people find themselves hospitalized, needing extensive medical treatment after suffering injuries in crashes. If you have been hurt in an accident, you may have the option to file a personal injury claim against the responsible party. To successfully recover compensation after a car accident, it is crucial to demonstrate that the other driver was negligent and directly caused the incident. Negligence can take many forms, and understanding the common causes of car accidents can help establish the other party's fault.

Some frequent causes of car accidents include:

  • Driver fatigue: When drivers are overly tired, their reaction times slow down, and their attention wanes, significantly increasing the likelihood of a crash.
  • Poor visibility: Weather conditions such as rain, fog, or snow can impair a driver's ability to see the road and other vehicles, leading to accidents.
  • Unsafe lane changes: Failing to check blind spots or signaling before changing lanes can result in dangerous collisions with other vehicles.
  • Running red lights: Ignoring traffic signals not only endangers the driver but also puts everyone else on the road at risk, leading to potentially severe accidents.
  • Aggressive driving: Behaviors such as tailgating, speeding, or weaving in and out of traffic can create a hazardous environment, making accidents more likely.
