Ann Arbor, MI (July 19, 2023) - Around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, eastbound Interstate 94 was shut down after a serious multi-vehicle accident that blocked all lanes of the highway.
According to alerts provided by the Michigan Department of Transportation and officers with the Ann Arbor Police Department, the eastbound lanes of Interstate 94 in Ann Arbor near Exit 172 to Jackson Avenue were closed due to the collision. Though the total number of vehicles and victims involved has yet to be confirmed, EMTs were dispatched to the scene and reportedly assisted at least one injured person at the scene.
In the meantime, no additional details were provided publicly, but local authorities are launching an investigation into the accident.
